Special thanks also go to those who received and hung the paintings led by Pablo Mahina, those who broght extra food and drinks and help Mahal Dureza set up our cocktails, and Zeny Avila of the Center management for making things easy for u.

Thanks too to our special opening guests: Mrs. Lilly O'Boyle, consul General Cecilia Rebong, Mrs. Gela Dolorico, Mr. Gavino Abaya and Manny Gamboa our Manila based member and big brother to Mrs. O'Boyle.

The First Philippine Exhibit GSIS Museum, Manila "Babalik Ka Rin" was held jointly with the officers and members of the Art Association of the Philippines (AAP) headed by Fidel Sarmiento, President. The show ran from July 7 to July 31, 2004. Participating SPAA members were: Ernie Avila, Mars Custodio, Madonna Davidoff, Dulcie Dee, Joe Dureza, Jowell GAella, Lenore Lim, Emilia Monroy, Julian Oteyza, Manuel Rodriguez,Sr., Manuel Gamboa, and Leonardo Hidalgo. Lito Ballesteros works were held up at the Customs and did not make the show on time. The opening was well attended with TV crew from ABS-CBN, brought in by Zeny Avila's cousins. Food and beverage service was superb, thanks to Elenore's sister. Raul Sunico, formerly of New York City and now Dean of the UST Conservatory of Music led the cutting of the ribbon to open the show. The show was also previewed by the Manila press on July 5, courtesy of Manny and Linda Gamboa. The couple donated several bottles of wine. Overall the show was excellent. We also learned a few lessons from the exhibit that we could use in our future shows especially overseas.

Congratulations to our members recent solo shows
